The Green Button and Some White Stuff

Well, I have just finished off the last of my Paper Poppy kit and used the wonderful large green button!! I think this was my favourite item in the kit and so I saved it to use last! I mixed the last papers of the kit with some Jillibean that I had in the stash and was set to go for one last LO!! I have decided to make an album for my friend with some of my favourite LO's of her little fellow.

I used Sketch #66 from The Scrappiest.

Okay, now I am getting really cranky!!! It is snowing again!!! {sigh} Summer is bound to reach Alberta one of theses days!!! I think????

Happy Scrapping!! Jen

  3. Well, first of all, UGGHH! I can't believe it's snowing where you are! Although, that's good scrapping weather! LOL I love this LO, and you are so sweet to make a book of these ones for your friends! He's such a cutie, and your LOs of him are phenomenal! I haven't yet jumped into my May kit, but I'm definitely looking forward to it. I think it's going to have to wait for at least a couple of weeks until classes end, as we're pretty busy at school right now. I'm trying to cram in a number of 11th-hour writing assignments before exams start, which means many, many late nights of marking ahead! But, on a cheerier note, I went on a great walk with Maggie today on one of the trails through the bush, and it was so fantastic! I am seeing a lot of "hiking" (not my dad's mountain-climbing hiking, more like trail-walking) and scrapbooking in my future this summer! I'm thinking I'll be able to get some awesome pictures out there, too. I'm pumped! Hope you're having a great weekend, Jen! :)

  4. Hey Jen,

Beautiful layout! What a sweet gift idea for your friend. I'm sure she'll love it!

I'm sad it didn't work out, too. I really wish it could've, just not possible at this time. Thanks so much for your generosity, though!

  5. AMAZING LO Jennifer! I love that button...it's gorgeous! I can see why you would save it. Your rhinestone butterfly trails are beautiful too, I am a sucker for a butterfly trail! I can't believe you are still getting snow :( Hopefully soon you will have that beautiful summer you are wanting! If it makes you feel any better, here in WA we haven't seen any summerish weather either. It's been chalk full of rain and cold weather! My sister just sent me a pic of them in tank tops and shorts....we are still wearing our winter coats!!! Crazy weather in the world lately....

  6. Gorgeous LO Jen! Total agreement from me on that awesome button! Your friend is so lucky to have someone like you, she will be thrilled with all the gorgeous LOs you have of her sweet little guy. As for the snow, Im right there with you - sick and tired of it! Im trying to not look outside so I can pretend it isn't there :(

  7. Morning Jen - I love how you can use buttons, butterflies and frilly punches and still have a very "boyish" layout - your friend is going to adore her album of her little boy - my Lilac tree is looking pretty sad and bent with all the snow - that appears to be still here - grrr, terry
