Back From Holidays

Well, I am finally back from my holidays. We all had a wonderful time in Banff and the mountains were amazing. Susan left today to go back home to Montreal. Thought I would share some pictures of our adventures!! :)

Geocaching!!Elk crossing the river.

At the Banff Hot Springs.

The "White" sisters.

Hope to get back to scrapping pretty soon here. I have a temporary scrapping space here at my MIL's and my July Paper Poppy kit is here with me!! Yay!! Looks like the condo won't be ready until the first week of September now. :( URRGGGHHH!! I figure at this rate, I will be in by Christmas!! ;) I am using a Roger's Rocket for internet, which I think should be renamed the Roger's Turtle!! It can be quite slow. I'll be trying to leave comments again, but if they seem fewer, know that I am still admiring your creations!! :)

Creative Scrappers Sketch #114

Hello bloggy friends!! It's been so long since I posted. I am still on holidays. Next month I will be getting lots of scrapping done. I will have some fun pictures to scrap from my trip to Banff with Rob and my sister, Susan.

Today my team is up on Creative Scrappers! I scrapped this photo of little Thomas. I used lots of Lily Bee that was in the June kit from Paper Poppy and added lots of bits and pieces from my stash.

Here is the sketch! It was a really fun one.

Hope everyone is having a great summer! Soon I will be back in the bloggy world and will try to catch up on all of your creative endeavours.

Happy Srapping!! Jen :)

Creative Scrappers Sketch #112

Kristine has a new sketch up today and it is my team's week for the reveal! The sketch was designed by Aphra and I loved the stitched element in it. Another page for my friend's little fellow's album. These were taken last summer. He was showing us his new bubble mower. We couldn't get the bubbles to work but he is a mellow little guy and wasn't too concerned about this.

I uses some Pink Paislee 365. Those cork elements are really fun and there are so many fun tags in that line! I think that PP is becoming my new favourite line!

Here is the sketch!!

What's going on with you?

I've been seeing this little quiz on different people's blogs and thought it would be fun. Besides, there is no scrapping going on lately and I have been missing posting on my blog. This is what's going on with me.

Listening to: Chicago (the band from the 70's)
Reading: Brooklyn (I just finished it and it was soooo boring. I don't recommend it.)
Watching: Big Brother (my guilty pleasure)
Eating: too much DQ ice cream
Drinking: earl grey tea
Wearing: blue jeans
Feeling: excited (my sister comes to visit on Monday!)
Weather: thunder storms and rain
Wanting: my condo to be finished being built
Needing: to pack up the last of the studio :(
Enjoying: Gus (my dog) being in such a cuddly mood today
Wondering: how long I will be homeless for

So, what's going on with YOU??

Another Amazing Mother's Day Photo

Finally found the perfect sketch to scrap this wonderful photo of Lisa! It is my much dreamed of "perfect" Mother's Day memory photo. Every year it seems that Lisa is having some kind of medical issue on Mother's Day and this year was no exception. The night before she ended up getting hit in the face with a paint ball capsule that bounced back into the crowd. Yes, it did manage to hit her face out of everyone standing there. :( Thankfully, it did not hit her in the eye. So, I will not give up hope and will continue to dream of that perfect Mother's Day photo of me and my girls. I am having a good feeling about 2011!! ;)

I used some Jenni Bowlin papers. I think they are relatively new out. First time I have seen them at the LSS anyway, so they are new to me!! LOL I hand cut the flowers out of one of the sheets. The butterfly banner stickers are also JB. It does seem kinda morbid to have these little guys strung up by their wings. Maybe there is a better way of creating a banner with them. Hmm.. gotta think about that one. The journaling spot is MME and it was a great item for allowing me to tell my saga.

Here is the sketch from Sketch Inspiration this week.

More 365 Degrees

Another LO to share today using some more Pink Paislee. Funny to think that these papers are from the same line as my LO in the last post. I love it when lines are this versatile! I LOVE the soft palette in this LO.

This is Diane standing within the walls of her new condo apartment! She is actually watching Dad build her Ikea furniture. I would have taken a photo of Rob but he never looks as happy doing this task, as those people in the Ikea catalogue!

I made the large butterfly by covering a chipboard shape and then adding some dimension with chalk. I was happy to get some more use out of my Martha butterfly punches. I don't think that I will ever get tired of them!

I used this sketch designed by Aphra Bolyer. It was for a challenge up last month that I never got a chance to do. I was happy to finally use this fun sketch.

I have one more LO to do using this line! I'm thinking some earthy colours to showcase a sweet little furry critter known as a groundhog!

Silly Thomas

Here is my favourite photograph of my little nephew, Thomas, to date!! Isn't this just hilarious? He is such a cute little guy and I think he knows it. ;) What a little ham for the camera! My SIL's sister, Carolyn, took this amazing photo.

When I saw this photo I just knew that Pink Paislee 365 Degrees would be perfect! This LO almost put itself together. It was amazingly quick to do. So funny how sometimes this happens and at other times, not so much.

I used this latest sketch out by Julie Bonner. Julie has had some wonderfully original sketches on her blog . Take a peek and I promise that you won't be disappointed.

Speaking of wonderful things in our scrappy world, take a peek at the July kit up at Paper Poppy! I can't wait to play with it! :)

Hope everyone has a fun weekend planned and wishing all my American friends a very Happy 4th of July!!

Happy Scrapping !! Jen :)
