Some Echo Park

I just finished the last LO for "Sweetie's" album.  I have been putting off this LO because I am really not in the mood for scrapping Christmas.  I'm craving spring themes and colours at this point in the season.  Having said that, I really did enjoy working with these fun and whimsical papers.  Perfect for a LO about the anticipation of waiting for Santa to arrive.

I really stuck to the sketch on this one.  The little banner at the bottom is actually upside down Christmas trees cut out of a border strip.

Here is the sketch I used.  Just posted today on The Scrappiest!

Echo Park has an amazing line soon hitting the shelves called "For the Record".  I just can't wait to get my hands on it.  Such an amazing vintage feel to it and talk about beautiful papers!!

Happy Scrapping!!  Jen :)

  1. CUTE!!!! I am not in the mood for Christmas photos either. I am not liking all of this snow that is coming down here either!!! :/ LOT of snow!!!! Need winter to be gone!! I can't wait to see that line either. Colors remind me of Cosmo's Circa 1934, but the patterns look fun!

  2. Yay! You must be so excited to have this album done! :) This LO is adorable - I really love Christmas papers that have a vintage-y flair to them. I hear you about not being into Christmas right now, though. I am really feeling ready for spring to be here! That Echo Park line is adorable. Does your LSS carry it? I need to start looking online! You asked about my scrap room. We have 2 spare bedrooms in the new house, and I think I know which one I want to use. I need to get in there and see how the light is, though! I would like to paint and decorate, but at the same time, I know a lot of that is just excitement. At the end of the day, I know that a fancy room like the ones in the magazines won't work for me - it's too pristine for my messy scrapping habits! LOL I have considered ordering some big vinyl wall-adornments from Etsy to help make it cute, and I might make some curtains or something. More than anything, I'm just excited to get in there! I have so many ideas in my head about decorating, etc., so I'm sure that I'll have lots of projects to post about on my blog. By the way, I'm doing a giveaway this week! Yours really inspired me. I've had a few things sitting here for a while that I wanted to use for a giveaway, but I hadn't thought of making a kit using my stash. It was so fun, and it made me want to do the same for myself, a la your counterfeit kits! LOL Thanks for the inspiration! :)
