So you know how I love a happy "tail". Let me tell you the story of Lloyd. I started following Lloyd a few years ago on The Dainty Squid blog. He was a stray cat who Kaylah cared for. She loved him, fed him and would bring him into her warm garage on cold nights. He was one of many strays that she cared for. She had four cats of her own and knew that she couldn't bring in more cats. The risk of bringing in a stray, even for a short period of time, who could potentially be ill would put her cats at risk. It was always her hope to someday find a forever home for Lloyd. She loved him dearly.
This is where Marine came into Lloyd's life. She offered to adopt Lloyd giving him a forever home. Kaylah and Marine both drove hours to meet for the drop off. Marine has since rescued another cat named Sylvester. So these days Lloyd spends his days hanging with Sylvester, sitting in boxes and bags, sleeping on his cat post and loving his humans Marine and Shawn. He has the best cat life ever and I think that he is such a lucky little guy. It always touches me how people are so kind. Both of these ladies went above and beyond to make Lloyd's life how it should be. Yes, people are good.
And so I now follow Lloyd over at Marine's blog. I asked her if she would mind if I took a photo of Lloyd off of her blog and scrapbooked this story because Lloyd just makes me smile. Here he is sitting in a paper bag. Isn't he cute?!?! LOL
I used a kit that I purchased from my LSS and this sketch.
