Pretty Paper Party

Susan came over yesterday and we worked on another prompt from Shimelle.  This one was all about how to use a piece of busy patterned paper.  These are often the papers that I love most and yet they often prove the most difficult to use.  I took much inspiration from one of the guest designers.  Actually, it is really more of a scraplift.  The busy paper really takes centre stage and so embellishment remains neutral as well as minimal.  This was really a change from my scrappy style but it is always fun to try something new.

It was really fun to do one of those layered distressed flowers.  It has been far too long.

  2. It's lovely! I very much like how that twist of twine seems to echo and enhance the line of your hair in the photo (and what a beautiful photo it is)
