Kaisercraft ~ Sea Breeze

Oh I do love me some teal, so this collection had me wanting to scrap!  I love everything about this line.  It is just so monochromatic.  Here's two pages that I created for Treasured Memories.

This line just cried out for a B&W photo so I dug up this old photo of Little Jennifer.  I even broke out the Mini Minc for this one!

Here's the sketch I used from The Scrappiest.

This photo of Diane's bouquet was a perfect fit for this collection.  I think that this page just might be a contender for "my most liked LO of 2016".  Time will tell.

I used this sketch from D-lish Scraps.

I just might have to make one more page with this collection.

Doodlebug ~ Anchors Aweigh

As strange as this may seem, this is the first time that I have ever designed with Doodlebug.  How is this possible and why did I wait so long?  I created two pages for Treasured Memories and totally enjoyed this vibrant collection geared towards little boys.  Of course I had the perfect subject... Thomas!

I love this photo of Tom.  He lost his first tooth just before getting into the bathtub.  It was pretty exciting since it first became loose the month before while we were visiting in Montreal.  It sure took a long time for that sucker to come out!

I used this sketch by Diane Fisher.

Next up is photos of Thomas running free in a field.  Rob took these photos while we were all out exploring one day.

I used this sketch from Susan Stringfellow.  If you are into sketches I encourage you to check her out here.  She not only creates awesome sketches but she also creates amazing pages with them!  There is a lot of inspiration to be had.  :)

Back again soon with some Kaisercraft!

More Pink Paislee

Back today with some pages done for Treasured Memories, using the Pink Paislee collection " C'est La Vie."  I totally loved everything about this line!  First up a photo of Diane and Eric on their wedding day.  I think this was my favourite photograph taken that day.

Here's the sketch I used which I think is from Citrus Twist.

This next page was inspired by the String Art template that Pink Paislee has released.  I opted to only do the string art on the border of the heart.  I used the template to guide me through a paper pieced heart.  It reminds me of crazy quilting which is the only quilting that I would ever be successful with. Random is my thing!

I didn't use a sketch for this page since the heart pretty much was the design.

I'll be back soon with some Doodlebug!

Playing With Pink Paislee

These days I've been busy in the studio.  With all of the goodies from the last CHA show flooding the shelves of the LSS it has been hard to not be in a scrappy kind of mood.  I've completed six pages that I will be sharing very soon.  But today, I played with some papers by Paige Evans.  I love the happy vibe of this collection and so it seemed very fitting for scrapping a page about Lisa and Steve.  They are about as relaxed and playful as any couple could possibly be.  Here's a photo of them taken at Diane and Eric's wedding.

Playing with negative space, velum and shiny mirrored embellishments!

My love of circles goes on and on!

I used this sketch from Page Maps for inspiration.

Wishing you all a wonderful spring afternoon.  The sun is finally shining here and I was very happy to notice a couple of Swallows hanging out at the bird house yesterday.  The air has been filled with bird song and it couldn't make me happier.

Living Wall

Rob's work building underwent an expansion recently complete with a living wall!  We took a quick field trip tonight so I could check it out.

The wall is made up of small potted tropical plants.  They all sit in trays and there is a really neat watering system.  No need for hand watering.  It is so beautiful!

I wish I could have a living wall in my house!

Pinkfresh Studio

I've been playing with paper.  I fell in love with this new collection "Felicity".  Love the soft colours and crisp white.  Seemed to call for some black and white photos.

Warning:  My LO photos are less than great.  I always find it difficult to get good shots of white pages.  :(

First up a photo of me that Rob took on our vacation to Montreal last fall.

Rob took this photo of Susan and Richard at Diane and Eric's wedding.  Susan hates mushy love LO's so it was fun to bug her with this.  ;)

I added some PL cards from a wedding themed line.  The colours went really well together.

Bye for now.
